SCI Associations

Associations are a great resource for information and services such as counseling and information about SCI. Never underestimate the value of talking to someone who has been through what you're going through!

National Spinal Cord Injury Association: The mission of The National Spinal Cord Injury Association (NSCIA) is to educate, and empower survivors of spinal cord injury and disease. Lots of helpful links, but not many that are Oregon-specific.

Spinal Cord Injury Network International: Based in California, this group has a free video and book lending library via mail. They also have a lot of informational sheets available for a low price.

American Spinal Injury Association: This group is based in Atlanta. ASIA is a multidisciplinary organization whose membership is composed of physicians and allied health professionals specifically involved in spinal cord injury management. They have an extensive list of SCI Links on their site.
