Project Management - Marketing - Writing

My fifteen-year career, mostly in the high-tech sector, has given me solid experience in marketing, writing, and project management. My focus on communication is the common thread that ties my various titles together:

• As a Project Manager, the key to keeping projects within scope and on track is to document everything, keep every team member in the loop, and treat assumptions as a cardinal sin! When team members understand why they're asked to do things and where this fits into the overall project, they find a wellspring of self motivation. • In my Marketing Communications career, careful communication is the name of the game. While I love any excuse to fire up Photoshop or do some document layout, my emphasis lies more in directing these activities: creating collateral sets for companies, managing newsletter or direct-mail programs, arming Sales with easy access to materials and support - all the while minding consistency and crafting the overall message.
